Caribbean Data Privacy Watch Series: A Business Perspective on Data Privacy & Protection in the Region

Date: 28 July 2022
Time: 11:30 - 12:30

  • Summary

It's been two years since the Data Privacy law came into effect in the Cayman Islands, followed by Jamaica, Barbados, BVI, and St Kitts & Nevis, to name a few. Over the last two years, organisations have been on data protection journeys to comply with the various laws across the region and keep pace with the changing regulatory landscape. Enforcement actions, new guidelines, international data transfers, and the global development of privacy laws and regulations are just some of the considerations that have highlighted the need for organisations to embrace agility.

In this session, you will hear from some of our BDO Privacy experts, who will look back at the successes and ongoing considerations regarding data privacy compliance within the region and share thoughts regarding its future and interplay with a growing number of data laws.
