Prashant Rupani

Prashant is a Senior Audit Manager at BDO Cayman Islands, with more than 15 years of international audit experience across the UK, Europe, East Africa and India.

Before joining BDO Cayman Islands, Prashant worked at BDO London, specialising in private equity funds, venture capital, investment trusts, and asset and wealth management. His earlier career included audit roles with KPMG Malta and Grant Thornton Tanzania.

Prashant has experience leading audits of listed and privately held investment entities under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and UK GAAP. His technical experience includes the valuation of unquoted investments, carried interest, impairment assessments and going concern evaluations.

Alongside managing complex audit engagements and international teams, Prashant has worked closely with senior management, boards and audit committees. His experience also includes developing audit methodologies, conducting internal quality reviews, and mentoring and training audit professionals.
